About us
Our history
In 1993, the French Government initiated a French Program in American Public Schools in partnership with Miami-Dade County Public Schools, from K to 12th grade.
Created in 1995, FIPA became the Parent Association for the French Program in 5 public schools in Miami-Dade.
In 2013, France decided to put an end to this partnership, and stopped sending French teachers to Miami. Then there was no longer a French program in Miami schools.
FIPA stepped in, and since then, has been working on financially supporting the bilingual program.

Our mission
As a parents association, our mission is to maintain and enrich the French educational program of Miami-Dade County public schools by promoting an authentic French linguistic and cultural immersion to the students and their parents, while bringing an unwavering support to our team of French teachers.
Our objectives
Who we are
Working together with Miami-Dade County Public Schools and the Consulate General of France in Miami, our aim is to ensure the high academic standing and sustainability of the French section of the International Studies program for years to come. FIPA provides robust and continuous support to the program by promoting the exploration and usage of the French language while fostering understanding and admiration for French culture, history, and traditions.
We are building a strong and dynamic FIPA community around those schools, with a vision to contribute to the empowerment of our students with essential knowledge required for success in an increasingly interconnected world.

What we do
Thanks to the generosity of our sponsors and donators and the dedication of our incredible team of volunteers, FIPA leads various projects such as:
- Sponsoring a team of dedicated French teachers in terms of continuing education, certifications, training and other financial support.
- Purchasing necessary books, magazines and class materials.
- Organizing linguistic and cultural events in the schools.
- Organizing social events for the students and their parents off campus.
- Engage and grow the FIPA community around all those events.
All year long, FIPA runs membership drives, fundraising campaigns through corporate and individual donations, and organizes social and formal events for their members.
