Turandot – March 5th
Come and enjoy the last Students Dress Rehearsal opera of the season with a representation of Turandot by Puccini, which was created exactly 100 years ago.
In this majestic, mythical opera, passion and peril collide in a kingdom ruled by a cold-hearted princess. Turandot poses riddles with deadly consequences to would-be suitors, until an enigmatic prince dares to answer. With its towering arias, including the show-stopping “Nessun dorma” immortalized by Luciano Pavarotti, and a score that blends Eastern inspiration with Western grandeur, Turandot is a spectacle of love, power, and sacrifice. Witness the transformation of hearts and empires in an operatic legend where love may yet thaw the coldest soul.
