On Friday, January 9th, 2026, students from the French International Studies programs at Coconut Grove Elementary, Sunset Elementary, G.W. Carver Middle School, ISCHS, and ISPA celebrated La Galette des Rois in their classrooms.
Each student enjoyed a King’s Brioche, shared with classmates and teachers, creating a joyful cultural moment around the discovery of the hidden “fèves” and the crowning of kings and queens for the day.
This event was made possible thanks to the support of families who sponsored brioches or ordered galettes to enjoy at home, the involvement of teachers and school staff, and the partnership with Marie Blachère Bakery.
Together, this collective effort allowed students to experience and share a cherished French tradition in a warm and festive atmosphere.
