Galette des Rois 2026

Celebrate “La Galette des Rois” with FIPA!

On Friday, January 9th, 2026, students in the French Program at Coconut Grove Elementary, Sunset Elementary, G.W. Carver Middle School, ISCHS and ISPA will celebrate the beloved French tradition of La Galette des Rois.

FIPA will offer a galette to every student in the French program, directly in their classroom, with our partner Marie Blachere Bakery.

What is La Galette des Rois?

La Galette des Rois is a traditional French pastry enjoyed in January to celebrate Epiphany. A small charm (fève) is hidden inside, and the person who finds it becomes king or queen for the day!

To celebrate this tradition in schools, we are replacing the traditional King Cake with a King’s Brioche due to allergies (nut-free).

If you would also like to celebrate or support the event, you can:

Buy a Galette for Home

Enjoy the tradition with your family!

  • Frangipane Galette (serves 6)
  • Special FIPA price of $28 with our partner Marie Blachère
  • Delivered to your child at school on January 9th

Sponsor a Brioche for the Class

Help us fund this cultural celebration by offering a brioche for your child’s class.

  • $12 per brioche (feeds 6 students)

Your order will be delivered to school the January 9th and given to your child.
