We are off to a great start in this new school year. The French government was able to allocate more teachers to our bi-lingual International Studies Program: We now have 3 full time teachers at Sunset Elementary, 3 full time teachers at Isch, 3 full time teachers at Coconut-Grove Elementary and 1 full time teacher at Carver. Six (6) of the teachers came through the Jules Verne program! A lifesaver ! The other four (4) teachers came through the VIE (Volontariat International en Entreprise) program. This is what your organization, FIPA, can do for your child's education. Again this year FIPA has covered the cost of the airlines tickets, visa applications and other expenses associated with bringing teachers from France. Without your participation these teachers would not be in our children' schools.
Our children can continue to enjoy a Bi-lingual full immersion program in Miami-Dade county public schools in spite of the budget difficulties thanks to our efforts and the outstanding support of the French Consulate in Miami.
YOU CONTRIBUTIONS TO FIPA AT WORK !
We have a nice team on the FIPA board made-up of Parent volunteers. Each one of them spends a lot of time and effort to maintain and develop the quality of our bi-lingual program. Without all the volunteers the program would not be what it is today.
FIPA has activities planned throughout the year.
Help us and your child's education throughout the year by contributing some of your time and/or financial support.
Please do fill-out and return the packet promptly, it is a valuable tool for us and the school.
Wishing a Wonderful School Year 2010/2011 to All. Bertrand Lecocq, for the FIPA Team.
